If you’ve just settled into a new home, it’s hard to imagine ever wanting to move again but the reality is that things change. From finances to family and everything in between people decide to move on for many reasons.
Whether you decide to move in a year or 10 years’ time you should consider your reasons carefully and decide if searching for a new home or staying put makes sense for you. In this two-part post, we’ll look at six tell-tale signs that it may be time to move.
You’ve outgrown your place
The most obvious reason most people move is because they’ve outgrown the place they’re living in. If you find your tastes have changed or that you need more space because you’ve accumulated more things or your family is growing, it’s time to consider moving on.
You can now afford a more luxurious rental
If your income has gone up significantly or you’ve managed to acquire more wealth, you may want to apply more of your money toward living expenses and upgrade to a more luxurious home. With that said it’s important that you assess your situation correctly and pick the right apartment for you.
You want a better neighbourhood
As much as you may like your home you may want to get out of your neighbourhood. It could be because you’re concerned about a recent increase in crime or need access to schools and other facilities. You may also find yourself spending less time in your current neighbourhood because it no longer appeals to you, these are all clear signs that it’s time to start looking in the neighbourhoods that are catching your attention.
Don’t miss part two of our post where we look at three more signs it’s time to move out of your apartment.
